Save Every Penny

Focus On the Biggest Savings Opportunity

Shipping is often the single largest line item in ecommerce fulfillment. Cahoot’s deeply discounted carrier rates give us a powerful starting point for reducing the cost of orders shipped from your warehouses, your current 3PL, or Cahoot fulfillment locations.

Deeply Discounted Shipping Rates

Access Cahoot’s deeply discounted carrier rates that may be lower than the rates available through your current operation or 3PL.

Smarter Shipping Decisions

Cahoot automatically evaluates all eligible carriers and services in real time across all fulfillment nodes so that savings can be captured shipment by shipment without manual rate shopping or crude heuristics.

A Custom Solution Customized for Your Business

Add only the software and physical fulfillment services that support the recommended solution.

Because last-mile shipping represents the largest share of total fulfillment cost, even a modest improvement per package can create significant savings at scale.

No One Size Fits All Pricing

A generic rate card cannot tell you whether you will indeed save money in the end. Cahoot uses a historical shipment profile to establish a baseline, identify the largest opportunities, and build the solution that works for your business needs while maximizing savings.

  1. 1

    Start With the Business Requirements

Tell us approximately what and how much you ship and how your operation works today.

  2. 2

    We Establish Your Baseline

Cahoot reviews your business requirements and a representative sample of historical shipping, inventory, customer demand, and fulfillment data.

  3. 3

    We Model the Opportunity

We apply discounted shipping rates, software, transportation, and applicable fulfillment options to estimate the potential impact.

  4. 4

    You See the Savings Comparison

Your proposal explains the applicable charges, the assumptions behind the analysis, and the projected savings against your current operation.

Win the Savings War With Total Cost Optimization

Most Cahoot shipping and fulfillment configurations involve three primary types of cost. Your proposal includes only the components that apply to your operation, plus any optional products or services you choose to add.

Component 1

Software and Platform

Pay for the Cahoot platform, workflows, automation, and integrations required to operate your specific business.

Cost drivers

  • Capabilities required
  • Number and type of integrations
  • Operational complexity
  • Applicable volume
  • Number of locations and workflows

Cahoot supports popular ecommerce connectors as well as advanced API, electronic data interchange (EDI), and multi-location workflows.

Component 2

Parcel Shipping and Freight

Parcel shipping covers the transportation used to deliver ecommerce orders to customers. Freight covers the services used to move inventory from the manufacturer’s or suppliers to the warehouses, staging facilities, to Amazon FBA, and across the broader supply chain.

Parcel cost drivers

  • Package dimensions
  • Actual and dimensional weight
  • Origin and destination
  • Carrier
  • Service
  • Delivery requirements
  • Applicable carrier surcharges

Freight services and cost drivers

  • Ocean freight
  • Drayage
  • Full truckload
  • Less-than-truckload
  • Manufacturer-to-warehouse transportation
  • Pallet shipments
  • Inventory transfers
  • Amazon FBA replenishment
  • Origin and destination
  • Weight, dimensions, pallet count, or freight class
  • Equipment and service requirements
  • Accessorial charges
  • Timing and delivery requirements

Cahoot evaluates the applicable parcel and freight options to help select a cost-effective transportation solution for each requirement.

Component 3

Outsourced Fulfillment Services

Physical fulfillment fees apply when Cahoot stores, prepares, or ships inventory for you.

Cost drivers and services

  • Receiving
  • Storage
  • Pick and pack
  • Packaging materials
  • Additional items
  • Kitting and bundling
  • B2B and wholesale shipments
  • Inventory projects
  • Special handling

Your proposal separates software, transportation, physical fulfillment, and optional product costs so you can see what is driving the total price.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Is Cahoot Peer-to-Peer Returns Priced?
Peer-to-Peer Returns is priced separately from Cahoot’s shipping, freight, software, and fulfillment services. Explore Peer-to-Peer Returns or discuss your returns program to review the applicable pricing options.
Why Doesn’t Cahoot Publish One Universal Rate Card?
A generic rate card cannot account for shipment profile, inventory placement, integrations, freight requirements, fulfillment requirements, delivery and SLA expectations. Cahoot tailors pricing so you can evaluate the complete proposed solution against your actual operation.
What Do I Pay For?
Depending on your configuration, pricing may include software and platform capabilities, parcel shipping, freight, and physical fulfillment services. Peer-to-Peer Returns is an optional product priced separately.
What Affects My Software Price?
Software pricing depends primarily on the modules needed for your workflows, utilization volume, number and type of integrations, and operational complexity.
Do I Have to Use Cahoot Shipping Labels?
No. Label charges apply when you purchase parcel labels through Cahoot.
What Fulfillment Fees May Apply?
When Cahoot stores or fulfills inventory, applicable charges may include receiving, storage, pick and pack, packaging, and special projects such as B2B shipments.
Does Cahoot Guarantee Savings?
No universal percentage can be guaranteed. Cahoot analyzes historical data and provides estimated savings based on the customer’s current costs, business requirements, and recommended configuration.
Do I Need to Replace My Warehouse or Current 3PL?
No. Cahoot can work with your existing warehouse or 3PL, add Cahoot fulfillment locations where needed, or support a fully outsourced operation.
Do I Need to Replace Amazon FBA?
No. Cahoot can complement FBA by improving the economics of orders fulfilled through your warehouses, existing 3PLs, or Cahoot locations and by supporting applicable inventory-replenishment shipments to FBA.
